Many clinicians have treated many folks with PTSD.
Many clinicians have training expertise in trauma-informed care.
Yet others have a lived experience with their own trauma.
Elizabeth Wexler has all three of these things, and it gives her a unique perspective, and voice.

For the first 17 years of her career, Elizabeth saw trauma in her clients in every setting: psychiatric hospital, medical facility, community clinics, emergency room. When she began working in a setting that was trauma-informed, it gave the work she did an entirely new dimension.

She then she spent seven years training law enforcement and first responders in Crisis Intervention. Early on in this endeavor, she completed the Trauma-Informed Care (TIC) Train-the-Trainer with SAMHSA, and immediately integrated TIC into all of her work.
